A safe space for moms to be real, raw, and received.
Honest conversations, maternal wellness, mental health support, and community for Black and Brown moms.

What the Mommy Matters Movement (MMM) Is
Motherhood can be beautiful, exhausting, healing, overwhelming, and everything in between. Too often, moms carry emotional loads in silence while feeling pressure to keep pushing through.
The Mommy Matters Movement was created to be a safe space for honest conversations, emotional support, healing, and community. This is a place where moms can show up as they are and feel seen, strengthened, and supported. 💜

Why Mommy Matters Movement Exists Now
Too many moms are carrying the weight of motherhood in silence — pushing through emotional exhaustion, survival mode, anxiety, burnout, and feeling like they have to “hold it all together” alone. Black and Brown women continue to face overwhelming disparities in maternal health and mental health outcomes, while often being unheard, unsupported, or dismissed.
The Mommy Matters Movement was created to help change that.
Through honest conversations, advocacy, maternal wellness initiatives, community events, and emotional support, MMM is creating safe spaces where moms can be real, raw, and received. We believe support should be accessible, healing should be community-centered, and no mother should feel ashamed for needing help.
In 2026, Purple House Project PA’s focus centers on the ways intimate partner violence intersects with maternal health. As part of this initiative, this year’s Purple Path will be dedicated to learning, awareness, healing, and community conversation surrounding maternal wellness, emotional safety, and support for women and families navigating these experiences.
This movement is about more than awareness.
It’s about connection.
It’s about reducing stigma.
It’s about reminding moms that they deserve care, support, rest, and spaces where they feel seen, heard, and valued. 💜
